Immunotherapies for Infectious Diseases Conference (IIDC), Pavia, Italy

At the end of June 2022, Martino attended the Immunotherapies for Infectious Diseases Conference in beautiful Pavia, Italy. His abstract, entitled ‘Viral vectored delivery of monoclonal antibody genes against blood-stage malaria’ was selected for both an oral presentation and a poster.

The conference was focussed on the use of monoclonal antibodies and their engineered variants to combat infectious diseases, including SARS-CoV-2 and other viruses of global concern, as well as bacterial and other non-viral infections. It also featured sessions on the clinical development of antibodies, as well as on the application of the 3Rs principles in biotechnological and medical applications.

Despite the sweltering heat the exciting programme and the friendly atmosphere made this conference a success. We look forward to attending future editions of the IIDC!
