I am a Clinical Research Fellow with the Malaria Vaccine Programme. My role involves contributing to the design and delivery of clinical trials as well as providing medical oversight of trial participants. Our studies assess blood-stage malaria vaccine candidates and often involve Controlled Human Malaria Infection (CHMI) challenges.
After completing my medical training at the University of St Andrews and the University of Dundee, I worked as a study doctor for COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials in Edinburgh, including the Oxford-AstraZeneca and Valneva vaccines. I have an interest in Infectious Diseases and spent 4 months as an undergraduate at Nkhoma Mission Hospital in Malawi. In 2020, I completed the Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
