Lawrence Wang is a DPhil candidate in the NIH-Oxford Scholars Programme under the supervision of Prof. Simon Draper at Oxford and Dr. Robert Seder at the NIH. His research is focused on isolating and characterizing neutralizing human monoclonal antibodies against Plasmodium falciparum merozoites and sporozoites. In the Draper lab, he is working on isolating monoclonal antibodies that target RH5, a leading blood-stage vaccine target on merozoites, from volunteers immunized with a RH5 vaccine. While at the NIH, he focused on isolating monoclonal antibodies that target CSP, a leading pre-erythrocytic vaccine target on sporozoites.
