Millie Gladstone

I am a postdoc who joined the Draper group in 2023. I currently work on pre-clinical development, characterising monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) from vaccinated volunteers and engineering them to increase their efficacy against P. falciparum.

I was awarded my PhD from the Department of Paediatric Infectious Disease at Imperial College London in 2022. My research involved using Reverse Vaccinology 2.0 to discover novel vaccine candidates against Neisseria meningitidis under the supervision of Dr Fadil Bidmos and Prof Paul Langford. My work as a postdoc in the same group involved cloning and characterisation of mAbs from Neisseria gonorrhoea and Streptococcus pneumoniae patients for use in monoclonal antibody therapy and vaccine candidate discovery. I also have an MSc in Medical Microbiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
