ESCMID Global 2026 Jennifer presenting

One of our clinical research fellows, Dr Jennifer van Heerden, recently attended and presented at the Global Congress of the European Society of
Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) in Munich, Germany.

ESCMID Global is a five-day conference where leading experts in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology meet to exchange ideas and explore the latest research and innovations. Packed with keynote lectures, oral sessions, workshops, symposia, meet-the-expert sessions and poster presentations, ESCMID Global is one of the world’s most eminent events in the field of infection.

Jennifer presented preliminary data from our vaccine and challenge study in Tanzania, BIO-003, a Phase I/II study assessing the safety, immunogenicity and efficacy of the blood-stage vaccine candidates RH5.1 and/or R78C in Matrix-M adjuvant.
