“Malaria Prevention: Progress and Prospects” Symposium at BRCCH, Basel

In late October 2022  Simon  visited the Botnar Research Centre for Child Health (BRCCH) in Basel, Switzerland and presented in their hybrid Symposium “Malaria Prevention: Progress and Prospects”.

During the Symposium, Simon highlighted the challenges, successes and future developments of vaccine-based solutions for malaria. Prof Melissa Penny (Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute & University of Basel, Switzerland) then shared her work on data analytics and modelling as product development support. Finally, Prof Evelyn Ansah (University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ghana) provided insights into vaccine implementation and equitable distribution.

Simon spent the following day visiting Swiss-TPH and meeting researchers to discuss opportunities for future collaborations.
