I completed my bachelors degree in Biology from the University of York, during which time I spent a year in industry at the Pirbright Institute, undertaking a research project investigating the potential role of arthropod vectors in the transmission of the porcine virus African swine fever virus. This experience allowed me to further develop my understanding of immunology as well as a particular interest in vaccine development and clinical trials. Since joining the Draper group in January 2025, my role as a research assistant supports the clinical testing of novel blood-stage malaria vaccines through clinical trials and controlled human infection studies.
