I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, USA in 2020. Immediately following my undergrad programme, I enrolled in the Biomedical Engineering PhD programme at The University of Texas at Austin. I joined Dr. George Georgiou’s lab, where I evaluated the plasma antibody response to a variety of disease targets, including SARS-CoV-2, norovirus, and malaria. My dissertation primarily focused on malaria, where I assessed the humoral response to both vaccination and infection in relation to a variety of blood-stage malaria targets, including MSP1, AMA1, and RH5. I successfully defended my dissertation and graduated from UTA in 2025. Currently, I am a post-doctoral research scientist within Professor Simon Draper’s lab, where I am expressing blood-stage malaria antigens and characterizing antibodies which target them in hopes of identifying potent vaccine antigen targets.
